Hello Everyone!

This is it the final Seasonal Share of 2022! And wow, its a great one (well, really two!). This week you'll pick up a double share. There are such great options for cooking your holiday meals! What a great way to end the year! How else can we help this week? So many ways!

Now is the time to guarantee you are a part of it! Order today: Winter Seasonal CSA Share. This winter will be a produce and provisions share. Each week you will receive a balance of WBF grown Greens and winter crops plus a fantastic provision from one of our regional producers!

Try one of the Bushel + Crumb pies. Pre-order to guarantee you get one. We have a limited quantity coming our way this weekend. Salted Honey Walnut and Cranberry Caramel Apple.







Too busy to cook?

This is a busy week for a lot of us! Between shopping and cooking for the holiday, weekday meals may feel a little tough. Chef Shawn has you covered! Order ahead and pick up some pizza when you pick up your share! Number of pizzas is limited - order early!

1 Head Garlic

1 bag of Pea Tendrils

1 bag of Spinach

1 bunch choice Kale or Chard

1 Winter Squash, variety available

2lbs of Onions, mix and match red and yellow

2lbs of Celery Root and Parsnip mix

1lbs of Winter Radish

3lbs of Potatoes, variety available

3 lbs Carrots, variety of colors available

2lbs of purple Japanese Sweet Potatoes, the variety is called Murasaki - lot's of info and recipes in this article from Bon Appetit


Pick up is Wednesday or Friday, 12 - 6

  • Reminder: Add-on shares: bread, eggs, cheese, mushrooms and meat are paid for separately from the veggies share. If you would like to be part of our add on shares, please sign up and pay using the QR codes at the farmstand or HERE.

Double Share Add-ons!

Bread: 6 Seven Grain Rolls, Large loaf of Francese - Iggy's Bread of the World

Cheese: variety Chèvre from Blue Ledge Farm, variety of Plymouth Cheese Co. cheeses. (one of each)

Eggs: 2 dozen Eggs

Meat: quite a variety this week! You get one of each: Ground Pork (approximately 1lb), pack of Chicken Breast, 1 Chuck Steak (Denver or Chuck Eye)

Mushrooms: quart of White Beech Mushrooms and King Trumpet Mushrooms - Mushroom Recipes! Our mushrooms are from RI Mushroom Co.

And the Farmstand is Open for any edible additions to your share!


Farmstand Hours: Tuesday - Friday 9am-6pm

Saturday 9am-2pm



A few reminders about the Fall Share... This share goes through the end of the calendar year which means it covers both Thanksgiving and Christmas. How do we deal with those big holidays? We've got you covered, the week before the holiday, you will receive a double share! Here's how that works out:



Week 12 & 13: Dec 21 and 23: Double Share

Dec 28 and 30: No share distributed

 

Pick up Procedures for the Fall Share

  • Pick up on your scheduled day any time Wednesday/Friday 12 - 6

  • Pick up will be in the tent located across from 458 South St, Wrentham.

  • Facing the tent from the parking lot, the Share area is on the far right.

  • Your items will be self serve so you can choose between options.

  • Please bring bags and boxes for your items to help us conserve.

  • We will have a clip board listing the items and the choices in the share.

  • Please check your name off the list when you pick up.

  • Add on share items will be located in designated coolers or fridges.

 

After two years of navigating this public health crisis, we are confident that we can minimize risk to our customers and staff. However, all of our plans are fluid. We may have to change this plan if we feel it is not keeping people safe.
