About the Event
How do farmers protect their plants and /or Livestock? We will discuss what threatens the success of the farmer and several ways to safeguard produce and livestock. We will contemplate predators to livestock. (There is a game!) We will discuss the use of livestock guardians and hopefully get to meet one. The pros and cons of open garden rows vs fences vs greenhouses.
We will discuss camouflage of animals and specifically eggs. We will touch and compare several different kinds of eggs, learn the structure of eggs, how can you tell if eggs are fresh or rotten, fertile or not, discuss the role of incubating eggs for a farmer, create some interesting art.
