Fairy Planter w/Farmer Christy - Wed. 4/20 9a-12p, Ages 8-12

In this workshop, you'll build your very own Fairy Planter. While getting to know each other in the greenhouse, we'll begin by filling a terra cotta pot with Vermont Compost organic potting soil. We'll add some moss that was collected from nearby Lake Archer. Each participant will receive a handblown glass mushroom made my a local artist to add to their planter as well. Then we'll take a walk from the farm, through the abutting conservation area in Wrentham, to the Trout Pond. There, we'll search for other natural items to add to our planters. We'll walk back to the greenhouse to add our finds to our planters and plant some Johnny Jump Ups. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own figurines/treasures to create a truly personalized planter.
