Farm Full Monty Summer Share 2021
Pick up your share in the Farmstand on Wednesday or Fridays from noon - 5.
Pickups start on Wednesday, June 9th and go for 20 weeks.
Veggie Share:The summer share may contain tender salad greens, cooking greens, bok choy, Napa cabbage, cilantro, radishes, salad turnips, lettuce, and sugarsnap peas like the spring share at first. Then heavier roots will start making the scene - carrots and beets. Then more substantial brassicas like cabbage and kohlrabi. Then the fruiting crops will join the mix - cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, peppers, tomatoes, and more! New potatoes come in around mid-July. Head lettuces, escarole, frisee, radicchio, and summer salad mixes will be represented. There will usually be something from the onion family - scallions, fresh onions, shallots, onions, or garlic. Towards the fall you will see winter squash and maybe fennel, celery root, and rutabaga. And we try to include a fresh herb each week, too - usually parsley, cilantro, dill, basil, thyme, rosemary, or sage.
Beef Share: Every week you will be presented with an 2lbs of Grass fed, Grain finished, Waygu Beef consisting of 1lb ground beef and 1lb steak in a variety of cuts.
Cheese Share: Each week you will be presented with an 8oz cheese from one of our local producers: Crowley Cheese, Narragansett Creamery or Plymouth Artisan Cheese.
Bread Share: Each week you will be presented with bread from local institution Iggy's Bread of the World.
Mushroom Share: Each week you will be presented with 0.4 - 1 lb of mushrooms from our local purveyor, RI Mushroom Co, in West Kingston, RI. Most mushrooms are locally grown.
Egg Share: Each week you will 1 dozen eggs from Pat's Pastured in East Greenwich, RI.
