Medfield Farmer's Market Share, Week #11

Hi All!

We just rounded the corner on the summer share. Ten weeks down and 10 to go! I hope you are all enjoying it!

The Share this week has lots of hot weather produce! 

  • 3lbs Tomatoes
  • 2lbs Mix and match Eggplant and Peppers
  • 1 pint your choice of Cherry Tomatoes, Shishito Peppers or baby Eggplant
  • 1 Bunch of Beets or Carrots
  • 1 Head of Lettuce
  • 1 Melon: choose between Cantaloup or Watermelon

I'm picking the pint of Shishito Peppers! Here's an easy recipe from Epicurious for cooking them Sautéed Shishito Peppers. What a great appetizer!

I've been wanting to make my mom's Watermelon Feta Salad. She doesn't have her own cooking blog (although she should!) so this is a recipe from Tori Avey that is close to my family's. Get your Feta from us too! We have sheep's milk feta from Beltane Farm and cow's milk feta from Narragansett Creamery.

As always bring your bags and boxes for pick up. The bags and boxes we have at the Farmers Market are first come first served. Pick up is Tuesday from 2 to 6.
